St. Eugene To Host Chamber Luncheon

The May Cranbrook & District Chamber of Commerce luncheon will be held at the St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino tomorrow, Wednesday May 27th.  The keynote speaker will be Mark Jackson, Superintendent, Kootenay Division for the Canadian Pacific Railway.

Canadian Pacific Railway was founded in 1881 to link Canada’s populated centres with the vast potential of its relatively unpopulated West.  This incredible engineering feat was completed on Nov.7, 1885.  130 years later CPR continues to be a vital and integral part of the Canadian economy and a major contributor to the economy of the East Kootenays.   Mr. Jackson will provide insight and information on CPR’s Kootenay Division and the corporation as a whole.

A networking session will be held at 11:15, lunch will be served at 11:45, and Mr. Jackson’s presentation will begin at noon.  A note to all attendees that the luncheon is being held inside the St. Eugene Pavilion.
