Many thanks to St. Eugene Golf Course Technician Dave Fooks who found this little critter down on the #8 fairway – he/she is about 3″ long. Since capturing this photo, it has since spun a cocoon, and Dave would like to think it is a luna moth, but does not believe they are common around this area. His guess would be a Polyphemus Silkmoth – which is impressive as well…. we will just all have to wait until Spring to know for sure! Thanks for sharing, Dave!
