The St. Eugene Golf Course is one of Architect Les Furber’s finest masterpieces. The three distinct environments of links, woodland & river give the course great character rarely seen on an eighteen hole routing. “Strong from the back, but forgiving from the forward tee” describes the overall philosophy of our layout. All hazards are visible with only one forced carry and that’s on the eighteenth hole. The course consists of tightly knit bluegrass tees & fairways, which give the golfer a natural perched lie, with fair undulated bent grass greens that reward the well-struck approach shot. The contour cuts, grass hollows, white silica sand & healthy bluegrass/fescue rough give the shot maker many options of how to play the ball.
Due to the environmental sensitivity of the natural surroundings, great care is given to make the course playable, while always respecting the unprecedented beauty and function as “habitat”. If you are a golf and nature enthusiast, then golfing St. Eugene is a must for your ‘bucket list’!
