Perry Creek is a 40-minute, easy-to-moderate hike to the falls. It’s worth it, though, as eagles are often spotted. A good trail for the most part, but loose rocks and water can make it slippery. We suggest bringing: shoes with a good grip, drinking water and a snack. Drive time to and from the Resort is 40 minutes total.
Meachen Fallls is a breezy hike and has views of one of the most spectacular falls in the East Kootenays along with frequent eagle and deer sightings. The falls reach 85 feet through a narrow steep canyon, with the best viewing time being mid morning to early afternoon. We suggest bringing comfortable shoes, water and a snack.
Eager Hill is a straightforward hike that offers an incredible panoramic view from the lookout of the Steeples, Mount Fisher and the Rockies.

Take full control of your images by letting us show you how!
Most cameras released within the last four or five years are very intelligent and produce stunning images. Unfortunately, some of their adjustments are not suitable for certain situations. Images shot as jpegs, as an example, will often have lighting, sharpening and colour adjustments done automatically right in the camera.
If you want full control of your images, we can show you how to setup your camera to get the most out of them using software such as Lightroom and Photoshop.
Both products cannot be taught in a short amount of time, though. We can, however, show you some basic adjustments for both these programs that will greatly enhance your images. Also included in each editing class is the full Nik Collection software plugin package from Google.
Please note that all editing classes take place on the day after each photography excursion.
Dale Fletcher has lived in the Cranbrook area for over 25 years. Being employed in the print industry for 28 years and being involved as a serious photographer for the last decade has positioned him perfectly for this adventure.
With photography shifting from film to digital at such a fast pace, the ability to fluidly manipulate images after they have been taken is rapidly evolving.
Photo editing has thus become an integral part of the entire process. Dale is knowledgeable in both Photoshop and Lightroom as well as several vital plugin software titles that work in tandem with these products.
Dale’s photography interests are mainly in landscape and fine art, although he also has experience in wedding and portrait projects.
