British Columbia Wine
The British Columbia wine industry dates back to 1859 when the first vineyard in British Columbia was planted at the Oblate Mission near present day Kelowna. According to winebc.com, British Columbia wine sales have “doubled in the last six years” and “there are now over 175 grape wineries in BC and several licenses pending, up from just 13 in 1984”.
We are pleased to offer our guests wines from a number of British Columbia Wineries, including:
The Hester Creek Estate Winery is 5 km south of Oliver and 16 km north of Osoyoos. Featuring Winemaker Rob Summers and is the only winery in BC with ganimede fermenters.
