With the Mission Building and Fisher Peak as it's backdrop, this majestic hole resembles two of the greatest finishing holes in the world, Carnoustie and St. Andrews.
The Kingfisher has a cosmopolitan distribution throughout the world's tropics and temperate regions. North of Mexico, the species is poorly represented with only one, the Belted Kingfisher. The bird has a long, dagger-like, bill that is used for fishing. At St. Eugene, the Kingfisher can often be seen around Joseph Creek or the St. Mary's River.
